An established industry player is seeking an enthusiastic intern to join its Administration team in Milan. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting, where you will assist with maintaining the general ledger, managing billing, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and participate in process improvement initiatives. Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

Our Group AFC function is seeking an intern to join the Administration team and support the following activities:

  • Assist with general administrative tasks as required.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including preparing, verifying, and inputting journal entries.
  • Participate in selected General Ledger accounting activities to meet local and group accounting and statutory financial requirements.
  • Manage billing, including Core and No Core invoice releases.
  • Support the management of fixed assets, including creation, periodic depreciation, and disposal.
  • Assist with timely and effective books closing, respecting the Group closing calendar.
  • Support accounting managers and team members with issues or anomalies, highlighting them promptly.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing, and the annual financial statement audit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.
  • Support project management and process improvement initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, studying economics or a comparable field.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and analysis.
  • IT skills: MS Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting software such as SAP (FI, SD) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Team-oriented attitude with the capability to work independently.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional European languages (German, French, Spanish) is highly appreciated.
  • Eagerness to learn quickly and take initiative.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
