Job Opportunity: Intern Controller at Leonardo, Rome

Leonardo, an international industrial group and one of the world's leading entities in Aerospace, Defense, and Security, is seeking an intern to join our Finance team in Rome as a Controller.

Position Details: Intern Controller in the Finance department at our Rome headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the management in monitoring the economic and financial performance of programs, highlighting any issues.
  2. Verify project estimates through planning and financial control activities.
  3. Ensure cost re-planning aligns with physical progress.
  4. Check the accuracy of financial results, both actual and forecasted, through performance analysis.
  5. Assist the program team in evaluating operational and recovery impacts, ensuring alignment with BU strategy.
  6. Help prepare financial reports, outlooks, and IBPs, analyzing variances.
  7. Analyze sales and cash inflows for monthly reviews of assigned programs.
  8. Support in bid phases and in defining financial and economic content, assessing risks.
  9. Participate in closing processes using General and Industrial Accounting tools, respecting Group accounting principles.
  10. Define WBS in SAP based on instructions received, ensuring proper authorization procedures.
  11. Develop the Order Portfolio with critical assessment of backlog.
  12. Contribute to determining revenue and work in progress for assigned projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Economics, Commerce, or Management Engineering.
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles.
  • Financial analysis and profitability skills.
  • Problem solving and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent skills in Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
