We are looking to build on our leadership in Industrial Ethernet by hiring highly skilled individuals with experience and creativity. The candidate will be a systems expert for Analog Devices' Ethernet switch, PHY products, and industrial protocols. They will help define our solution roadmaps (hardware and software), working with customers, product development, and marketing teams to identify opportunities, tailor solutions to customer needs, and guide product development to increase market share. This position is based in Ireland, with global travel required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a systems expert for cross-functional global teams regarding Industrial Ethernet hardware and software architectures.
  2. Engage in opportunity discovery conversations with global sales, marketing, and engineering teams.
  3. Identify new product or software concepts to drive revenue growth around Ethernet-enabled systems.
  4. Drive concepts through completion and validate business cases.
  5. Assist customers, applications, sales, and marketing in troubleshooting system and protocol issues.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, product teams, and field resources.
  7. Coordinate technical resources to implement system solutions, including hardware and software from Analog Devices.
  8. Develop and provide training on Analog Devices’ Ethernet solutions and products.
  9. Collaborate with Product Development and Solutions teams to incorporate customer insights into new products and roadmaps.
  10. Understand and communicate customer system needs and requirements.
  11. Qualifications:
  • BSEE or equivalent.
  • 7-15 years of experience in product, design, applications engineering, or similar roles.
  • Experience in evaluation, debugging, and testing hardware and software systems.
  • Strong understanding of Ethernet system architectures and emerging trends.
  • Experience with major industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, ProfiNET, EtherCAT, ModbusTCP, BACnet/IP, TSN.
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work across functions and demonstrate value to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to operate in a team interfacing with sales, engineering, and marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to coach and assist others with design issues.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
