Senior Service Designer for the Digital Services and Solutions team.

This role reports to the Director of User Experience – Digital Services and Solutions.

The Service Designer will collaborate with global multidisciplinary product teams to develop service offerings within Fresenius's complex ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting stakeholder discussions to identify opportunities for innovation.
  2. Gathering requirements during discovery phases.
  3. Designing prototypes for improved business processes.
  4. Testing innovative solutions.

This role requires deep domain knowledge and expertise in services and products to propose enhancements.

We seek a resilient, adaptable problem-solver with excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

The position is based anywhere in Italy, with an Italian contract, 100% remote work, and up to 15% annual travel, domestic and international.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to define service requirements and goals.
  • Identify customer and user needs to improve journeys.
  • Lead end-to-end service design projects, from research to evaluation.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and customer journey mapping.
  • Synthesize data to understand user workflows.
  • Contribute to customer experience goals.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Contribute to product vision and roadmaps.
  • Create service blueprints and visualizations.
  • Measure service effectiveness via customer satisfaction scores.
  • Identify process improvements and optimizations.
  • Propose solutions to design challenges.
  • Act as a Human-Centered Design ambassador.
  • Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Mentor junior designers.
  • Stay updated on UX trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Human-centered fields or related experience.
  • 5+ years in Service Design for large enterprise solutions.
  • Technical knowledge in development methodologies, design, and implementation.
  • Ability to recognize strategic activities versus busy work.
  • Understanding of UX processes, tools, and templates.
  • Working knowledge of Figma.
  • Portfolio link required for selection.
