Job Summary :

The Senior FAE / Systems Optimization Engineer is responsible for technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. The individual will work closely with Sales and Extended Teams to ensure that technical design proposals meet customer requirements. The Sr. FAE will have in-depth, hands-on experience with Supermicro Server / Storage / Embedded and Switching Products and Solutions, as well as competitors' products and services. They should be capable of presenting and demonstrating solutions to customers and partners. FAEs are critical in the pre- and post-sales cycle and must possess in-depth technical knowledge of Supermicro and competitive products, solutions, technologies, and market drivers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Job-specific tasks and duties include :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or business discipline; computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering preferred.
• 10+ years in an IT or semiconductor industry with experience in roles such as product management, FAE, technology alliance, business development, solution enablement, or customer advocacy.
• Experience in accelerator-based computing such as GPUs and FPGAs is a strong plus.
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills.
• Strong executive presence with a track record of success.
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, able to communicate effectively with high-level (preferably C-level) clients.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of managing multi-functional teams, resolving complex issues, and delivering results under pressure and strict deadlines.
• Lead in solution development, collaborating with design and testing engineers to enable new enterprise and data center solutions.
• Support pre-sales engagement by working closely with customers and providing creative solutions that meet demanding requirements.

Qualifications :

Leverage past experience and industry contacts to generate new technical opportunities and POC engagements.

• Manage complex and dynamic relationships with large technology partners to deliver innovative IT solutions and impact revenue growth.
• Act as a business owner and leader, driving cross-company and cross-functional teams to exceed customer expectations and promote Supermicro’s green computing technology.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and solve problems with a sense of urgency.
• Strong technical background and experience working in IT and data center environments, familiar with server and storage products.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
