Key Role in Clinical Delivery Services Division

Providing strategic leadership and management within our Clinical Delivery Services Division, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s recently acquired PPD clinical research organization. This role involves directing operations and resourcing in a complex cross-functional environment, developing strategies for continuous process improvement, and optimizing organizational performance, processes, systems, training, and communication to meet business goals. The role also offers strategic guidance to staff, influencing business strategy and operational efficiency.

Work Arrangement

This position is fully remote, based anywhere in Europe or the Eastern Time Zone of the USA. Some international travel may be required, up to 10% annually, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead large, complex, cross-functional initiatives and teams.
  2. Assist Executive Management in developing business roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
  3. Champion organizational changes and initiatives supporting company objectives.
  4. Drive innovation and critical thinking related to delivery, budget, quality, and prioritization.
  5. Support the development of the group Annual Operating Plan (AOP), ensuring proper approvals.

Candidate Profile

  1. Extensive senior-level project management experience in complex international organizations, especially delivering change programs.
  2. Background in CRO, pharma, life sciences, or related consulting preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of cross-functional project management principles (Time, Quality, Cost).
  4. Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  5. Familiarity with formal change management processes (e.g., Prosci).
  6. Expertise in process improvement and strategic development, particularly in clinical trials and project management.
  7. Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong executive presence, consultation, and presentation skills.
  9. Proven negotiation and relationship-building abilities to influence results.
  10. Track record of implementing corporate strategies to engage and retain customers.
  11. Advanced proficiency in English.

The estimated salary range for Ireland is €136,500 - €204,750. The position may also be eligible for a variable bonus based on performance, along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package including:
