Wärtsilä is seeking a temporary Specialist, Supplier Cyber Assurance to join the Cyber Governance, Risk and Assurance team. The role focuses on third-party cyber risk management and supplier assurance across locations including Finland and Trieste, Italy.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/science or cyber security, plus hands-on supplier risk experience and cyber security certifications. English fluency and strong reporting skills are expected.

We are looking for a temporary Specialist, Supplier Cyber Assurance, to join our Cyber Governance, Risk and Assurance (GRA) team. The main responsibility of the role is to ensure effective third-party cyber risk management.

As a Specialist, Supplier Cyber Assurance, you will focus on executing key aspects of Cyber GRA in the area of Supplier Cyber Assurance across the organization. The possible locations for this role are Helsinki or Vaasa, Finland, or Trieste, Italy.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Assess supplier cyber risks
• Monitor supplier cyber security performance
• Improve supplier cyber security practices
• Conduct cyber security evaluations and provide assurance
• Ensure compliance with security requirements

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/science, cyber security, security, or equivalent professional experience
• Hands‑on experience in at least three of the areas:
  • Supplier risk assessments
  • Third‑party risk management
  • Supplier sourcing agreements
  • Software supply chain risks
  • ISO27001
• Cyber security certification or formal training
• Knowledge of applicable cyber security standards and regulations
• Knowledge of common supplier assessment and monitoring tools
• Good reporting and documentation skills
• Fluent communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Independent and self‑driven approach

The primary location for this role is Finland, but this role can also be based in Italy where the annual salary range would be 41 000 EUR–49 283 EUR in accordance with the salary provisions in the applicable National Collective Labor Agreement for workers in the metalworking and plant installation industry (CCNL Metalmeccanico).

The final salary will be influenced by factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the required competencies, and your relevant education, skills, and experience, as well as the salary provisions in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. We also take internal equity into account to ensure a fair and consistent approach across our organisation.
