We are looking for a Digital Twin Researcher to join our team. The Senior Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM) Application Manager/ Engineer is responsible for leveraging advanced level engineering and product development knowledge to define, design, develop, deploy and deliver enterprise-level solutions that enable Leonardo Divisions to utilize advanced simulation technologies more effectively throughout their product development and engineering processes, specifically on the following domains: engineering collaboration, configuration & change management, requirements, model-based engineering, Materials & Simulation Data Management.

This position will work closely with Digital Engineering competence centers, Engineering Functions and selected Vendors in order to:

  • Design, define, develop the better solution applicable to Leonardo
  • Understand the existing IT landscape of a customer
  • Understand the Leonardo SPDM solutions and define the future roadmap
  • Understand Market Trends
  • Coordinate the internal or external resources needed to configure the solution integrating it with the overall IT landscape
  • Coordinate the creation of necessary collateral and demo environments

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's or other advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Desired technical skills and knowledge:

  • Analyze customers' business and technical needs requirements, and the state of a customer's current infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows
  • Consult our customers on process design and process optimization
  • Derive the technical specifications in collaboration with other business process analysts, subject matter experts, peers and Vendors Product Management
  • Create elegant and useful solutions to solve complex business problems by working across various teams and understanding the needs of customers
  • Coordinate and execute all technical activities (design, develop, deploy) throughout the sales opportunity such as customer meetings and product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations
  • Utilize the components of the Vendors platform as the foundation for building complete solutions that transform customer product development processes to facilitate more engineering in the digital domain by leveraging simulation

Experience:

  • 10 years of working experience in Engineering/Simulation Environment or IT/Simulation Department
  • 5 years of working experience in Vendor Management and resource (internal or external) coordination
  • 5 years of working experience in Engineering Project Management
  • Experience in one of the following environments: Engineering Software - Commercial CAE/CAD/EDA, Enterprise Systems - MBSE/PLM/PDM/ALM/ERP/TDM, Simulation System - Hexagon Simmanager (pro), Material Management - Material Center (pro)

Language Skills:

  • Advanced English proficiency (B2-C1 level)
