We are looking for multiple Spacecraft Operations Engineer on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Milan, Rome or Turin, Italy.

In the frame of IRIDE Mission, OHB-I will operate its Eaglet-2 constellation (10+ satellites) throughout the whole operational life cycle. We are seeking experienced Spacecraft Operations Engineers to support the operations preparation and execution.

The successful candidates will be tasked with, but not limited to:

  • Understand the mission objectives and the Spacecraft (S/C) design;

  • Author and validate Flight Operations Procedures and Ground Operations Procedures;

  • Identify S/C anomalies, and support throughout the whole anomaly troubleshooting cycle;

  • Generate report and console logs;

  • Prepare monitoring displays;

  • Generate Flight Training Material;

  • Monitor and Command the S/C;

  • Extract TM data and analyse data to assess the S/C Health and Status;

  • Implement configuration updates;

  • Support to System Validation Test (SVT) Plan and Procedure;

  • Support to System Operations Validation (SOV) Plan and Procedures;

  • Support to Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) Plan and Procedures;

  • Support with Commissioning Plan and Procedures;

  • Support to Flight Operations Plan;

  • Execute SVT, SOV test campaigns;

  • Execute of LEOP;

  • Execute Platform and Payload Commissioning;

  • Participate in operations execution, including shift work and regular on-call;

  • Support to Mission Planning System (MPS) plan generation, and MPS product approval;

  • Provide support for Flight Dynamics System (FDS) Orbital maneuvers and FDS product approval.

  • A Master degree (or equivalent), preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Physics or Mathematics;

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience;

  • Experience in S/C Monitoring and Mission Control Systems;

  • Experience in spacecraft operations preparation (FOP/GOP generation/validation);

  • Experience in Anomaly resolution;

  • Solid knowledge of S/C Operations;

  • Experience with interfacing with S/C suppliers;

  • Knowledge of CCSDS Packet Utilization Standard (PUS) rev. A and C;

  • Knowledge of Procedure Language for Users in Test and Operations (PLUTO);

  • Knowledge of SCOS2000 Database Import ICD;

  • Knowledge of Space Link Extension (SLE) protocol;

  • Knowledge of Database Manipulation and data analysis is an asset;

  • Knowledge of Ground Segment architecture and interfaces is an asset;

  • Knowledge of Mission Planning Systems is an asset;

  • Knowledge of S/C Flight dynamics is an asset;

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing and Operations Information System (MOIS) tool suite;

  • Knowledge of ECSS-E-ST-70C is an asset;

  • Able to work independently as well as with in a team;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU;

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
