Leonardo S.p.A. seeks a System Operations Engineer for the Galileo Second Generation (G2G) program.

You will be embedded at ESA/ESTEC as part of the SETA team to help shape operational design and ensure readiness of industry deliverables across space and ground segments. The role includes defining operations concepts, requirements, and migration strategies, coordinating validation campaigns, and supporting the mission through transition and handover.

Competenze

• Master's degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent with systems focus.
• Experience in space systems engineering or space operations.
• Working knowledge of GNSS and Galileo architecture.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive solutions.
• Good command of English (B2) and MS Office proficiency.

Mansioni

• Define, consolidate and maintain the G2G System and OpsCon across space and ground.
• Derive operational requirements and ensure traceability to specs.
• Support G1G to G2G migration and service continuity strategies.
• Analyze operational processes and mission timelines.
• Define operations organization, roles, interfaces, and reviews.
• Plan operational validation campaigns and support ESA milestones.
• Support handover to Operations Readiness and runtime operations.
