ESRIN – ESA Centre for Earth Observation in Frascati, Italy, seeks a Siemens Polarion System Configuration Officer to join a multidisciplinary team on a service contract at the client’s site. You will analyze, configure, and optimise Polarion, ensuring workflows, data migrations, and documentation meet standards, while training users and supporting continuous improvement.

The role requires strong PLM knowledge, experience with Siemens Teamcenter, and excellent communication.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience administering and configuring Siemens Teamcenter.
Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles and processes.
Experience with workflow design, metadata management, access control, and lifecycle configuration.
Knowledge of enterprise application integration and data migration methodologies.
Experience with testing, validation, and system deployment activities.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to create technical documentation and conduct user training.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Mansioni

Analyze business and stakeholder requirements and translate them into Polarion solution architectures and implementation plans.
Define application scope, data models, workflows, lifecycle management processes, and configuration strategies.
Configure and customise Siemens Polarion objects, workflows, metadata structures, user roles, and access controls.
Develop and maintain custom forms, workflow automations, and change management processes.
Design, develop, and support integrations between Polarion and internal/external systems using APIs and middleware solutions.
Plan and execute data migration activities, including mapping, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
Develop and execute testing strategies, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Investigate, document, and coordinate the resolution of system defects and performance issues.
Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration baselines, user manuals, and administrator guides.
Deliver end-user and administrator training and knowledge transfer activities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend system enhancements.
Ensure configuration management, version control, quality standards, and documentation integrity are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
