A prestigious luxury resort in Southern Italy is seeking a Director of SPA to lead its wellness department. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of luxury hotel spa management experience, a passion for holistic wellness, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams. Responsibilities include strategic leadership, developing wellness offerings, and ensuring high standards of service. Fluency in Italian and English is required, with additional languages being a plus.

On behalf of a prestigious 5-star resort nestled in the heart of Southern Italy, we are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of SPA to lead the wellness department of a sanctuary for international travelers seeking excellence, privacy, and a deep connection to the land.

Rooted in Mediterranean identity, the SPA offers a transformative wellness experience that blends holistic well-being with the serene yet vibrant spirit of the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic and operational leadership of the SPA, ensuring a consistent level of excellence.
2. Design and evolve the wellness offerings in line with both the brand philosophy and international luxury standards.
3. Lead and mentor a team of therapists and support staff, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
4. Maintain full P&L responsibility, overseeing budget, cost control, and profitability while safeguarding service quality.
5. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure seamless integration of the SPA into the guest experience, fostering a high-performance culture with a deep sense of purpose.
6. Monitor market trends and innovations to keep the offerings relevant and differentiated.
7. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational standards.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Spa Manager in a luxury hotel.
2. Passionate about the Spa and Fitness industry.
3. Extensive leadership experience managing luxury wellness operations within high-end hospitality.
4. Empathetic, detail-oriented, and aligned with values of authenticity and excellence.
5. Strong understanding of holistic wellness, guest psychology, and service personalization.
6. Proven ability to build, inspire, and retain high-performing teams.
7. Financial acumen with strong business planning skills.
8. Languages: Italian and English (additional languages are a plus).
