Competenze

To meet our growth challenges, we’re looking for proactive, enthusiastic, and talented professionals to join our team. Our site in Trento (Italy) is currently seeking a:

SOURCING SPECIALIST – CHEMICALS

This role involves developing and managing an appropriate supplier base to meet business expectations in terms of Total Cost of Ownership, Service, and Quality, with a special focus on raw materials for Home Cleaning Chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the plant meets its budget and financial performance targets.
  • Manage supplier relationships to fulfill current and future business needs, ensuring optimal price, service level, and quality (lowest TCO). Assist in supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding in collaboration with Quality and R&D teams.
  • Source materials and services, develop supplier localization, and support Group Operations and Corporate Functions in scouting new suppliers and products.
  • Support sourcing strategies for chemical ingredients used in home cleaning products (e.g., surfactants, solvents, fragrances, preservatives).
  • Address recurrent service and quality issues within the supplier base.
  • Implement yearly savings plans and deploy Group Procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, Production, Quality Assurance) to align sourcing with business and technical needs.
  • Contribute to sustainability and compliance initiatives by assessing suppliers’ adherence to regulatory and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • University degree, preferably in Economics or a technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or processing, with strong sourcing and procurement expertise.
  • International experience with in-depth knowledge of purchasing, preferably in FMCG. Experience in household or home cleaning products is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with kdc/one’s key commodities, including chemicals, plastics, packaging, and transportation. Experience negotiating CAPEX projects.
  • Experience in engineering management or working closely with R&D and Operations to anticipate market trends in new or alternative materials.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Supply Chain experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in international organizations, managing cross-cultural dynamics, multiple projects, and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to introduce innovative ideas while executing tasks consistently.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Results-driven with a focus on delivering outcomes and ensuring quality through strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with stakeholders.
