Adecco Life Science, a specialized division of the Adecco Group, is seeking a Sourcing Manager for a client company operating in the design and construction of modules, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers for the pharmaceutical sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize supplier base, including prequalification and management, to ensure cost-effective supply with consistent quality, acceptable service, and delivery levels.
- Identify, develop, and implement regional sourcing strategies to optimize supply base in Europe, reduce total delivered costs, mitigate risks, and improve supply security and quality consistency.
- Understand technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and user expectations.
- Communicate and collaborate with related functional teams to resolve purchasing issues and minimize project disruptions.
- Develop contract strategies and negotiate key commercial and supply agreements to meet company goals.
- Stay informed about industry trends in assigned categories and provide guidance to the purchasing team to support margin and growth objectives.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field; an advanced degree in Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or Finance is preferred.
- Over 5 years of procurement experience in engineering, automation, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
- Experience with industrial or equipment manufacturing and familiarity with supply bases in Europe, such as piping, valves, instruments, or construction vendors.
- International work experience, either academic or professional.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven leadership, teamwork, and project management skills.
- Track record of successful, structured negotiations.
Additional benefits include CCNL for the Metalmeccanico sector; level and RAL depending on experience, lunch ticket of €8.00 per workday, annual bonus based on performance, and a permanent contract directly with the company.
Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with some remote work possibilities.
