Advanced LEO PNT for Urban Applications with Signal of Opportunity

The focus of this thesis is LEO Hybrid Navigation in urban scenarios, implementing precise positioning techniques that exploit LEO constellations not dedicated to navigation services. The thesis will consider Signal of Opportunity (SoP) and the availability of known communication signals reusable for navigation in non-terrestrial network space infrastructures (i.e., Starlink, 5G, etc.). An End-to-End simulator will be developed to enable fast assessment of navigation performance and foster the rapid prototyping of next-generation navigation terminals that can complement or enhance the GNSS with LEO-based measurements.
