Job Description:

Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of this position is to support the analysis, design, and implementation of high-quality web portals, learning, and content management solutions for UNICC and its partners and clients.

Objectives of the Programme:

The Centre aims to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its clients and partner organizations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Head, Digital Business Solutions (DDD) within the Digital Delivery Division (DD). They will support the division teams in analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems, liaising with end users, software vendors, and programmers to achieve desired outcomes for UNICC and its partners and clients, collaborating closely with other UNICC teams. Tasks include:

  • Leading and managing a team of developers, designers, and content specialists, ensuring optimal performance and collaboration. Providing feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing project plans, timelines, and budgets for web portal, learning, and content management projects in collaboration with the Head, DDD.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their needs, translating requirements into technical specifications, and ensuring solutions meet or exceed expectations.
  • Collaborating with Business Relationship Managers to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including project plans, system architecture, and user guides.
  • Ensuring all projects adhere to industry standards and best practices for accessibility, usability, and security.
  • Supporting compliance with Project Management Office (PMO) standards and risk mitigation.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Supporting key stakeholders in transition management to ensure business continuity during IT project implementations.
  • Supporting UNICC DevSecOps guidelines and initiatives.

Other duties:

  • The incumbent may be required to undertake additional duties as requested.
