We are looking for a Solution Engineer to be hired with a permanent contract in Milan within the Smart Infrastructure Buildings area.

Your Challenge

As a Solution Engineer you’ll have the opportunity to join a capable centre of excellence team, who specialise in the design and engineering of high-pressure water mist systems. The role of the team is to support global business development and sales activities by guiding consultants, fire engineers and strategic partners.

Your main activities will be to:
  • Complete customized AutoCAD or Revit drawings with nozzle placements and pipe layouts, ensuring compliance with applicable recognized water mist standards (EN, FM, VdS, BS), across a wide range of land applications.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations using Canute to ensure accurate system design and performance.
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOM) from design drawings and inputting them into the CRM system to generate accurate quotations.
  • Collaborate with consultants and architects during the design stages, providing expert support to ensure effective integration of water mist systems.
  • Provide product and design support to Siemens' business partners, ensuring their success in implementing our solutions.
  • Offer technical support to the Global land sales team, sharing your expertise to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Stay well-informed of the latest global water mist standards for land-based water mist systems, ensuring compliance and industry-leading solutions.

To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a focus on design and product development, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
  • Proven experience working with either sprinkler systems or water mist systems, giving you hands-on expertise in system design and application.
  • You pay strong attention to detail and are committed to meeting deadlines with a high level of accuracy, ensuring the quality and integrity of your work.
  • Experience with 2D AutoCAD and 3D Revit, allowing you to create precise and efficient design layouts.
  • Your great interpersonal skills and enthusiasm make you an excellent teammate, able to collaborate effectively with internal and external collaborators.
  • Your excellent time management and project management skills enable you to organize and plan effectively, ensuring that systems and processes are developed efficiently.
  • Passion to never-stop growing
  • Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge
  • Proficiency in English and Italian; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Eligibility to work in Italy
