With us you can integrate our Vision, Audio and Radar products into new ways of working with our customers as well as enhance their existing security installations.

This is an international role and travel within EMEA and to Lund will be considered a natural part of the job. We would like you to be based near one of our offices in EMEA: Czechia – Prague, England – Luton; France – Paris, Germany – Munich (Ismaning); Italy – Milan; Netherlands – Rotterdam; Poland – Warsaw; Spain – Madrid; Sweden – Lund. The position is hybrid and reports to the Engineering, Training and Portfolio Strategy team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SSA?

As a Professional Services SSA (Systems and Solutions Architect), you will be responsible for the technical leadership and support of customer projects that require software customization. You will act as the technical bridge between sales, engineering, and our customers. This role is focused on understanding business needs and identifying how Axis’ software capabilities via APIs, and integrations—possibly including AI models—can meet those needs.

You will work on active sales projects and also proactively identify new opportunities for custom development together with our sales teams. Although you are not expected to write production-level code, a strong understanding of software development concepts, APIs, and system architecture is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Support incoming customer projects that require software customization.
• Act as the technical expert in sales meetings for Professional Services engagements.
• Translate customer needs into software solution proposals, involving internal development teams as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and product specialists to scope, document, and deliver tailored solutions.
• Proactively identify new custom development opportunities together with regional sales teams.
• Maintain a solid understanding of Axis APIs, system architecture, and integration capabilities.
• Educate internal stakeholders on capabilities and limitations of Axis customization offerings.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for a driven and collaborative technical expert who understands the business value of software customization. You have strong communication skills, enjoy working closely with customers and internal teams, and are energized by translating complex business problems into tailored technical solutions. You are comfortable working in a customer-facing role with technical knowledge to hold your own in discussions with software developers and architects.

We believe you have the following skills and experience:

• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and architectures
• Experience working with APIs, software integrations, or customized platforms
• Ability to analyze customer needs and map them to technical capabilities
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and how models are applied in software environments
• Experience in pre-sales or solution design roles, preferably in a Professional Services context
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
• Strong documentation and scoping abilities
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, development, and product management

Education and Experience

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years experience in a technical customer-facing role
• Experience in solution architecture, technical pre-sales, or custom software projects
