Solutions Architect

Cloudera is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its MEDI Professional Services team. In this role, you’ll develop scalable solutions to solve complex data problems using Hadoop, NiFi, Spark, and related Big Data technology.

This client-facing role combines consulting skills with deep technical design and development in Big Data. It offers opportunities to travel across Asia Pacific and work with multiple industries and large organizations.

Responsibilities:

1. Work directly with customers to implement Big Data solutions using Cloudera Data Platform and Dataflow.
2. Design and implement Hadoop and NiFi platform architectures.
3. Perform platform installation and upgrades for secure cluster configurations.
4. Analyze deployments and optimize performance.
5. Document and present architectures to technical teams.
6. Collaborate with Cloudera teams to ensure project success.
7. Drive projects to completion.
8. Create technical documentation, blogs, and knowledge articles.
9. Assist in pre- and post-sales processes.
10. Stay current with Hadoop and Big Data technologies.
11. Participate in speaking engagements as needed.
12. Travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in Data Governance.
• Experience with AI & Machine Learning solutions.
• Fluent in Spanish and Italian.
• 5+ years in IT and System Architecture.
• Experience in Professional Services, architecting large-scale storage and data solutions.
• Designing and deploying large-scale Hadoop solutions.
• Understanding of big data use-cases and design patterns.
• Knowledge of data management concepts including data warehousing and ETL.
