Solar Module Sales Manager/Director - Italy, Pisa
Job Overview:
- Drive the growth of the solar module sales business by identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
- Conduct regional market analysis focusing on supply/demand trends, government policies, competitors’ activities, and performance of key distributors and installers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential partners such as distributors, installers, and consultants, with tailored strategies for each.
- Set quarterly and annual sales targets and ensure achievement through proactive sales initiatives.
- Support regional marketing campaigns, including exhibitions, presentations, and product launches.
- Prepare regular sales reports to track progress against goals.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback and market trends to inform product strategy and roadmap in the PV module segment.
- Engage with industry players to understand their needs and align product and service offerings accordingly.
- Develop customized proposals for customer tenders, ensuring technical and commercial optimization.
- Identify new market segments and opportunities for product expansion.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure aligned product delivery and schedules.
- Participate in product design reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to oversee product launches and ensure successful rollouts.
Key Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in the solar module industry, working with manufacturers or selling to developers and EPCs.
- Proven sales and business development skills.
- Experience with procurement processes and customer relations.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to see initiatives through.
- Financial literacy, including understanding budgets and expenditures.
- Sales-driven with a proactive, competitive mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50-60%.
- Proficiency in English and the local language.
