Requirements Engineer - EV Charging Systems

We are seeking a Requirements Engineer to join our team working on EV charging solutions. The role involves eliciting and documenting software requirements based on customer needs, industry standards, and internal strategies. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure traceability of requirements, and contribute to system and software architecture.

1. Elicit and document software requirements based on customer needs, industry standards, and internal product strategies.
2. Collaborate closely with product management, system architects, hardware engineers, and software developers.
3. Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
4. Translate stakeholder inputs into clear, unambiguous, and testable software specifications.
5. Contribute to the definition and maintenance of system and software architecture.
6. Review and validate requirements with cross-functional teams and customers.
7. Ensure compliance with ISO 15118, OCPP, and other relevant EV charging standards.
8. Support risk assessments, impact analyses, and change management processes.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in requirements engineering for embedded or software-intensive systems.
3. Knowledge of relevant EV charging standards is a strong plus.
4. Familiarity with requirement engineering tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or Jama.
5. Understanding of system modeling techniques (e.g., SysML / UML).
6. Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
7. Structured and detail-oriented work style, and proactive mindset.
8. Ability to work in an agile development environment.
9. Fluent in English, as well as German and/or Italian.
