Job summary

Ferrari is seeking an intern for the Product Development Quality team in Maranello, Italy. The role focuses on ensuring software process compliance and engaging with internal development and external suppliers across development stages.

The ideal candidate is a Master’s student in CS, Electronics, or Management Engineering, with internships or projects in automotive or luxury sectors and excellent communication skills. Fluent English and Office tools are required.

Responsibilities

• Support internal audits/assessments and metrics analysis to improve software development processes.
• Monitor project milestones and participate in lessons learned activities.
• Review quality checks, quality reports and software development process documentation.
• Assist in external audits/assessments by certification bodies and contribute to supplier quality evaluations.

We are looking for a dedicated intern in our Product Development Quality team, with specific activities to assure the compliance to the quality standards (in terms of software processes and work products) of internal development activities and towards external suppliers in all software development phases.

You will cooperate in different activities, including:

• Support continuous improvement of software development processes through the execution of internal audit/assessment and metrics analysis.
• Monitor project milestones execution and support lesson learnt activities.
• Monitor internal software Development processes through the definition and update of Quality checks/Quality reports/reviews;
• Support and review the execution of software candidate approval checklist with focus on the status of verification and validation activities;
• Participate in preparation and execution of external audits/assessments done by certification companies;
• Evaluate the maturity of the software development processes and quality of work products of external supplier through the execution of Ferrari Tools (SEA, QRA, Program review) in sourcing phase and development phase;
• Define and update work methods and reference procedures for software Quality Assurance and support the definition of the ones for R&D.

Required profile

For this fundamental role in managing the Product Development Quality activities, we are ideally looking for a recent Master graduate or current Master student (eligible for internship) or in your final year in Computer Science, Electronic or Management Engineering or equivalent.

You will not only have a passion for automotive and innovative solutions, but also already gained first work-experience through internships or projects (in automotive or luxury sectors) that allow you to understand business complexities and help you to develop your personal and communicative skills.
