Job summary

Ferrari S.p.A. in Maranello is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Intern to support the Product Development Quality team. The role focuses on ensuring software process compliance across internal development and supplier interactions.

You should be a Master student or graduate with strong analytical skills, good English, and the ability to work independently within a team environment. Monthly allowance and on-site restaurant access are provided.

Qualifications

• For internship eligibility, a recent Master graduate or current Master student is expected.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is essential.
• Experience or projects in automotive or luxury sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement of software development processes through audits and metrics.
• Monitor project milestones and contribute to lessons learned.
• Review internal software development processes via quality reports and checks.
• Assist in software verification/validation activities by reviewing checklists.
• Participate in external audits/assessments by certification bodies.
• Evaluate maturity of processes and quality of external suppliers’ work.
• Help define and update software QA methods and reference procedures.

We are looking for a dedicated intern in our Product Development Quality team, with specific activities to assure the compliance to the quality standards (in terms of software processes and work products) of internal development activities and towards external suppliers in all software development phases.

• Support continuous improvement of software development processes through the execution of internal audit/assessment and metrics analysis.
• Monitor project milestones execution and support lesson learnt activities.
• Monitor internal software Development processes through the definition and update of Quality checks/Quality reports/reviews;
• Support and review the execution of software candidate approval checklist with focus on the status of verification and validation activities;
• Participate in preparation and execution of external audits/assessments done by certification companies;
• Evaluate the maturity of the software development processes and quality of work products of external supplier through the execution of Ferrari Tools (SEA, QRA, Program review) in sourcing phase and development phase;
• Define and update work methods and reference procedures for software Quality Assurance and support the definition of the ones for R&D.

Required profile

For this fundamental role in managing the Product Development Quality activities, we are ideally looking for a recent Master graduate or current Master student (eligible for internship) or in your final year in Computer Science, Electronic or Management Engineering or equivalent.

You will not only have a passion for automotive and innovative solutions, but also already gained first work-experience through internships or projects (in automotive or luxury sectors) that allow you to understand business complexities and help you to develop your personal and communicative skills.

You need to demonstrate strong communication skills (such as the ability to listen as well as in-depth reasoning). You will be expected to work independently as well as integrate as part of a team. The effective completion of your daily tasks requires you to be a proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook). Fluent English is required.
