We are currently looking for a Software Project Manager to join our team in Delft, Netherlands.

Job Description

We are seeking a Software Project Manager to oversee software development projects for scientific applications, working with international clients to advance big data image analytics and embedded systems. Our projects focus on processing imaging payload data from spaceborne and airborne platforms, delivering scalable, automated solutions.

1. Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring successful delivery for international and national clients.
2. Manage customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and handle proposals and negotiations.
3. Coordinate teamwork across multiple projects, balancing customer expectations with operational and financial interests.
4. Oversee project administration, including budgeting, financial reporting, and subcontractor management.
5. Communicate project progress, deliverables, and financials to stakeholders.
6. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• 5-8 years of project management experience, with a strong commercial mindset and client relationship skills.
• Experience managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and handling scope changes.
• Background in the space industry (ESA, EUMETSAT, EUTELSAT) with familiarity with ECSS standards.
• Experience managing software development and system engineering projects.
• Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or IPMA).
• Technical or commercial educational background (BSc or higher) and fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
