Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced software engineering professional with a strong background in .NET projects to join us at our Discovery Centre in Genoa, Italy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Define data architecture, create, design, write, and maintain high-quality code in different programming languages, ensure a good data flow between database and backend systems, and strive to achieve the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
2. Responsible for ensuring that model code, data pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces are developed and deployed successfully into production, and troubleshooting issues that arise.
3. Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
4. Ensure that the technical solutions meet the customers' goals, analyze user needs, and participate in meetings to define requirements.
5. Mentor less experienced developers, ensuring high quality work and ongoing skill development.

You should have

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or in a similar field.
2. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET, SQL, GIT, Visual Studio, HTML/CSS.
3. Experience with WinForms, TypeScript, Angular and JavaScript.
4. Databases: SQL Server and/or MongoDB.
5. Strong background in software design, architecture, and development methodologies.
6. Collaborative problem-solving ability, action-oriented and results-focused.
7. Excellent English language skills.
8. Familiarity with DevExpress eXpressApp Framework (XAF) and experience in Agile development methods and with backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA) is preferred.
9. Experience of leading small development teams would be an advantage but if not, we can help you grow into this role.
