Descrizione

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated TCMS Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks in the Engineering Department. The position is based in NAPLES - IT.

Accountabilities

• The candidate will be part of a team responsible for designing the TCMS system according to project requirements and railway standards, covering the entire software lifecycle from specification to validation, including support during vehicle acceptance tests.
• Analyze requirements, design, and develop embedded software for onboard electronic control units.
• Define TCMS system architecture for specific projects.
• Write functional and software requirements specifications.
• Implement and test software using company tools.
• Prepare product documentation according to standards.
• Develop test cases to ensure requirement coverage.
• Participate in design reviews with clients and suppliers.

Required Skills / Knowledge

• At least 1 year of experience in railway or related industry as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in C programming language.
• Knowledge of Matlab-Simulink-Stateflow.
• Ability to work effectively across organizational levels with practical ideas.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, international environment.
• Ability to work independently within teams and projects.
• Willingness to undertake short-term national and international travel.

Desired Skills / Knowledge

• Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Linux OS for embedded applications.
• Experience in the railway sector.
• Understanding of engineering processes and railway operations.
• Ability to plan and manage tasks independently.

Education / Qualifications

Degree in Telecommunication, Automation, Computer, or Electronic Engineering.

Languages

Proficiency in written and spoken English, at least C1 level.
