Software Engineer (Pricing & Underwriting) - ITALY

Join us at Prima as a Software Engineer (Pricing & Underwriting) - ITALY.

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer in the Pricing Domain, you will lead the development of tools, microservices, and infrastructure for our pricing and underwriting projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative insurance solutions that streamline tariff creation and updates, automate routine tasks, and improve customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools, microservices, and infrastructure for pricing and underwriting projects.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support within a dynamic engineering team.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders, including data scientists, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to ensure Prima remains at the forefront of insurance technology.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of software design and architecture.
• Proficiency in TDD, BDD, CI / CD, IaC, containerization, and messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Rust, Elixir, or Python.
• Experience with cloud systems (preferably AWS), data orchestration tools (e.g., Databricks), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design, ML, MLOps, or data science.
• Previous exposure to insurance or pricing fields.
