IC Resources is seeking a Software Engineer – C++ for its Milan R&D Centre to develop software at all levels under Linux and at MCU level in C++. You will work with the hardware team on protocols such as TCP/UDP, I2C and UART, and may assist in kernel modification and customization.

We welcome several years of Linux-based software development experience, strong modern C++ skills, and a solid understanding of GCC, CMake and gdb across multiple Linux distros.

• Excellent knowledge of Linux-based systems (GCC, CMake, gdb) across multiple distros.

A Software Engineer – C++ is sought by this leading satellite systems organisation to be based at their R+D Centre in Milan. The Software Engineer – C++ will be responsible for developing software at all levels under Linux and also microcontroller level in C++. Working closely with the hardware team the Software Engineer – C++ will working with a variety of network protocols including TCP/UDP, I2C, UART etc. The Software Engineer - C++ will also have the opportunity to assist in some kernel modification and customisation.

Having completed your technical education, you will have gained several years of experience developing software under Linux and at microcontroller / microprocessor level (AMD, ARM, SoC).

You will have strong Modern C++ programming skills coupled with an excellent knowledge of Linux based systems (GCC, CMake, gdb, etc.) and multiple Linux distros (PetaLinux, Yocto, OpenEmbedded etc.). Any exposure to TCP/UDP, I2C, SPI, UART etc. would be beneficial.
