The opportunity:

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join our team.

RAL: €47.5K – 60.5K

Start date: As soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and implement complex systems.
  • Challenge team processes and seek improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers through pairing, design, and code reviews.
  • Build software solutions adhering to our SDLC quality standards.
  • Stay updated with new technologies.
  • Lead the technical design of complex systems.
  • Understand and optimize system performance.
  • Proactively address issues before they escalate.
  • Deliver well-baked, almost bug-free complex systems.
  • Identify problems with requirements and project plans proactively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Over 5 years of experience.
  • Deep knowledge of distributed architectures (Kafka knowledge is a bonus).
  • Deep knowledge of Java (Spring Boot and/or Quarkus; proficiency in at least one).
  • Understanding of functional programming principles (Scala is optional).
  • Previous experience with Akka/Pekko is highly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of NoSQL databases (DynamoDB preferred).
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies (AWS and/or Azure).
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with software design and code reviews.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude.
  • Business and functional understanding.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to solve complex networking, data, and software issues.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
