YOUR TEAM

You will work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary group of electronics, mechanical, and software engineers collaborating on common research.

The Humanoid Sensing and Perception research line seeks to appoint a full-time Robotics Software Engineer to join the development team of the CONVINCE project, funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms for detecting and localizing objects and humans in the environment;
• Create algorithms for navigation in dynamic environments, considering human behavior;
• Participate in field testing and experimental validation.

What Would Make You Shine

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields;
• Strong motivation to work with real robotic systems;
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python;
• Good communication skills and teamwork ability;
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Extra Skills (Optional)

• Experience with real robotic systems;
• Knowledge of C++ and tools like CMake and GIT;
• Familiarity with open-source robotics software, simulators (e.g., Gazebo), and middleware (e.g., ROS/ROS2/YARP);
• Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch);
• Knowledge of Robot Navigation frameworks (e.g., Nav2);
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• High motivation to learn;
• Innovative and creative mindset;
• Good time and priority management;
• Ability to work independently and in a team within an international environment.
