Shakers is assembling a new development team in Florence (Osmannoro) to deliver an embedded platform for fuel management and retail technology. You will design, develop, and test software and UX, leveraging AI-assisted code generation and review to accelerate delivery while ensuring high quality.

Join a pragmatic Agile/Scrum team, collaborating with architecture, QA, and operations to drive continuous improvement. Hybrid work 2-3 days on-site in Florence with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software/CE or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' experience with OO languages (C++, C, Java, Python).
• Solid Linux experience including drivers/kernel.
• Knowledge of cryptography.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Hands-on with AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, LangChain, LLM APIs).
• Professional working English.

The challenge

We're building a new development team for a global leader in fuel management and retail technology, based in Florence (Osmannoro area). The team works on a leading embedded platform in the fuel industry and uses AI tools and agents daily to speed up delivery and raise quality.

What you'll do

• Design, develop and test embedded software and UX, using GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted code generation and review
• Contribute to the software architecture together with the architecture team, applying AI-assisted design patterns
• Work in an Agile/Scrum team, providing analysis and performing code reviews
• Support continuous process improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience with object-oriented languages (C++, C, Java, Python)
• Solid Linux experience, including Linux drivers and kernel
• Knowledge of cryptography
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Hands-on experience with, or strong curiosity about, AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, LLM APIs, agent frameworks such as LangChain)
• Professional working English
• Availability to work hybrid, 2-3 days a week on site in Florence (Osmannoro)

Nice to have

• Node.js
• Knowledge of payment devices and/or payment systems
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools
