Job Opportunity: Software Engineer in Nicosia

On behalf of our client, a long-established IT software solutions provider in Nicosia, GRS is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Nicosia-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing, and supporting both customized and packaged IT solutions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement software solutions based on provided specifications.
2. Test the validity and logic of existing systems and troubleshoot errors.
3. Modify existing code and implement necessary changes.
4. Translate project requirements into detailed procedures and flowcharts.
5. Prepare support documentation for programmers, users, and support staff.
6. Seek opportunities for personal and professional development.
7. Maintain good relationships with management and colleagues.

Candidate Profile

1. University or college degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of relational database design and implementation using MS SQL Server, Oracle RDBMS, or MySQL.
3. Fluent in Greek and English.
4. Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies.
5. Previous development experience is advantageous.
6. Knowledge of Microsoft Development Tools (Visual Studio, ASP, WPF, C#) is a plus.
7. Experience with ASP.NET and Xamarin/Mobile development is a plus.
8. Good multitasking and communication skills.
9. Resourcefulness, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
10. Strong analytical skills and effective time management.
11. Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and energy.
