Join Carol as a Software Engineer

Carol is a subscription-based virtual primary care service aimed at companies, allowing employees to access digital health services easily and quickly. Our vision is to make primary healthcare accessible to all through a comprehensive ecosystem of digital health services, providing a practical, efficient, and fully digital experience: video and chat general practitioner teleconsultations; electronic prescriptions for medications and specialists; booking of specialist visits and diagnostic exams at partner facilities. Carol is currently Italy's first authorized telemedicine provider and one of the fastest-growing Italian startups with a growing number of corporate clients.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Software Engineer.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying new features for our product lines. Depending on your background and areas of interest, you will have the opportunity to explore different aspects of the codebase, from frontend to mobile to backend. At Carol, we believe that a Software Engineer is fully responsible for what they develop, fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.

You will join a team developing an AWS-based ecosystem, consisting of:

• Mobile applications developed in React Native;
• REST APIs built with NestJS and MongoDB.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Developing mobile applications using React Native;
• Creating responsive interfaces with React;
• Designing and developing scalable REST APIs with Nest.js and MongoDB;
• Writing and maintaining unit and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality;
• Participating in code reviews and agile rituals (daily stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.);

• You have solid experience (5-7 years) in at least one of the following areas: mobile, frontend, or backend;
