In this role, you will manage projects involving the design and implementation of automation software for machinery. Successful candidates will hold a relevant degree and possess 3 years of experience in the field, thriving in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Competenze

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in packaging machinery.
• Knowledge of motion control platforms (e.g. Beckhoff and Siemens).
• Knowledge of automation software platforms (TwinCAT 2 and TwinCAT 3).

About the role

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion, building industry-leading solutions for our customers. In this role, you will be designing and implementing software solutions for machine automation.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing automation software solutions for controls of automated machinery lines;
• Identifying and solving technical problems to ensure smooth operation and performance of automated systems;
• Collaborating with mechanical engineering department with a focus on software design and mechatronics, performing functional analysis on machines;
• Collaborating with the testing and installation teams, executing simulations, debug and testing of machines, both before machine installation and at customers’ sites;
• Performing routine software configuration tasks to maintain system efficiency and reliability.

The position will be based in Castel Maggiore, Italy (BO).

What you need to be successful

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation/Computer Engineering, or strong background in related fields;
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in packaging machinery;
• Knowledge of motion control platforms e.g. Beckhoff and Siemens and of automation software platforms TwinCAT 2 and TwinCAT 3;
• Team player spirit, detail-orientation, organization, curiosity about innovative solutions;
• Availability to travel upon request;
• Good proficiency in English.
