Overview

AWS Marketplace Team is focused on enabling software sellers to reach AWS customers and enabling buyers to discover, purchase and consume software. The team aims to enrich the platform to support more diverse software, improve buyer and seller experience, and add new product dimensions. We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to help take AWS Marketplace to the next level. You will own significant portions of the product and influence our strategy by helping define the next wave of features and system architecture. The systems are complex and offer opportunities to work across front-end user experience, platform services, and system-level components. You should enjoy working on complex system software, be customer-centric, and committed to building quality software and achieving operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering new features or products in a hyper-growth environment with shifting priorities. They will have design and implementation experience, knowledge of web services and protocols, and a deep understanding of distributed systems architectures. Experience with asynchronous workflow systems is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
