Secheron Hasler Italia is looking for a Software/Firmware Developer to join the R&D team at the Verona site.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing applications in C and modern C++ (C++11/14/17). Familiarity with firmware development for microcontrollers is also required.

The new team member will collaborate on designing, developing, and maintaining software/firmware for Secheron Hasler Operator Terminals (HMI) used in the railway sector and their supporting tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop firmware applications for microcontrollers integrated into HMI devices.
• Write and update technical documentation.

Requirements:

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C and modern C++ (C++11/14/17).
• Experience with GNU autotools (automake).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash.
• Experience in firmware development on microcontrollers (e.g., NXP Arm Cortex-M7).
• Understanding of hardware and experience with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Experience interfacing peripherals over I2C and SPI.
• Proficiency with version control systems like GIT and SVN.
• Good command of English (level B2/C1).

Preferred qualifications:

• Background in embedded firmware development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
