Job Title: Software Developer for process design and control applications

Location: Buttrio (Udine - Italy)

Responsibility

Software development for plant process design, involved in one or more of these main sectors:

• Process modelling and optimization.
• Software development for visual applications including web applications.
• Data analysis and management in data bases.

All these tasks are subject of continuous improvement. The candidate, therefore, may also collaborate in innovation projects. The listed tasks include the need of being able/interested in reading scientific literature in the field and collaborate with universities.

Technical Requirements

Education:

• Preferably a Degree in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science Engineering.
• Degree in Mechanical or Material Engineering with strong attitude to software programming is also desired.

• A PhD in control systems technology is a plus.

Languages Skills:

Required:

• English (minimum level B2)

Desired:

• Italian

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with software engineering theory and practice, UML diagrams, modeling, and design tools.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as software developer with a good knowledge of the Object-Oriented principles.
• Experience with source version control (preferably GIT).

Previous expertise in one or more of the following programming fields is appreciated:

• Software developer of visual applications:
  • Microsoft Visual Studio C# / C++
  • Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation
  • Angular / TypeScript / ASP.NET
  • HTML5 / JavaScript / CSS
• Software process modelling and control:
  • Microsoft Visual Studio C++
  • Python and/or MATLAB
• Project management systems like Microsoft DevOps
• Design and maintenance of databases:
  • Relational DB (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, …)
  • NoSql DB (Cosmos DB, Mongo DB, …)
• The knowledge of manufacturing processes and of the metal industry.

Will be considered as a plus:

• Experience in design and implementation of software solutions for process industries, especially in metals.
• Experience in design and implementation of process control/optimization models.
