Job Description

DXC Technology Italia is looking for a Software Developer to join Applications Service DXC Team. Application Services cover four areas: Applications Development; Applications Modernization and Transformation; Testing and Digital Assurance; Applications Management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute business and technical software solutions to implement portions of new or enhanced systems (upgrades or conversions).
• Analyze, identify, and resolve business and/or technical problems using appropriate solutions and tools.
• Collaborate with Client-facing colleagues (Business Analyst and Project Manager) to understand the business environment, technical context, and strategic direction.
• Stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.

We Require

• Bachelor or Master degree (nice to have in technical fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.).
• Experience and knowledge of Digital Development Services, Agile Application Development, DevOps, cloud-based applications, and Microservices architecture and patterns.
• Strong technical experience writing code using languages: Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot, etc.), Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices, Docker, design patterns and architecture, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with software development processes (Agile, Waterfall) and DevOps.
• Ability to work with web development tools for new applications.
• Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.

The ideal profile has strong analytics, problem-solving, results focus, decision-making, and team collaboration abilities.

Location: Bari with remote work possibility.
