JOB SUMMARY :

The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts.

Firestone Walker Brewing Company is seeking a strategic, creative, and highly motivated Social Media Manager to lead the vision and execution of our social media presence across the Firestone Walker Brewing Company. This role is responsible for developing and implementing forward-thinking strategies that elevate our digital voice, engage our communities, and support our larger brand and business goals.

As a key member of the digital marketing team, the Social Media Manager will lead day-to-day content execution, influencer strategy, platform management, and social storytelling across all relevant channels. This individual will work cross-functionally with creative, brand, e-commerce, and retail teams to ensure our social media presence reflects the quality, culture, and innovation Firestone Walker is known for.

Key Responsibilities :

Define and lead the overall social media strategy for Firestone Walker Brewing Company across all platforms.

  • Translate brand priorities and campaigns into engaging social media moments that drive awareness, engagement, and advocacy.
  • Develop social-first approaches to storytelling, product launches, brand collaborations, events, and key cultural moments.

Manage and execute day-to-day posting and content management across all owned social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

  • Stay ahead of platform changes, trends, and tools; proactively recommending updates to strategy and content formats.
  • Community Growth & Engagement

Build and strengthen online communities for both Firestone Walker Brewing Company through active engagement, thoughtful conversation, and timely responses.

  • Content Development

Work closely with internal creative teams and external collaborators to concept and brief social-first content.

  • Lead planning and execution of evergreen and campaign-based social content calendars.
  • Oversee blog content development and execution strategy for all FWBC brands.
  • Influencer + Partner Relations

Identify, vet, and manage relationships with creators, influencers, and brand partners to amplify reach and credibility.

  • Ensure proper briefing, alignment, and performance tracking of all influencer and partner collaborations.
  • Performance + Reporting

Monitor and analyze performance across platforms using social tools and native analytics.

  • Regularly share insights, trends, and recommendations to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Track KPIs including engagement, reach, follower growth, video performance, and community sentiment.
  • Cross-Functional Integration

Collaborate across departments including marketing, creative, events, e-commerce, and taproom to ensure consistent brand expression and messaging across all touchpoints.

  • Support event coverage and product launches with social amplification strategies.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Support larger digital marketing initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3–5 years+ of experience managing social media for a lifestyle, CPG, or cultural brand.
  • Must be located or willing to relocate to Venice or the greater LA area
  • Deep understanding of major and emerging social platforms and their audiences.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a sharp, brand-aligned voice.
  • Proficiency in social media tools like Sprout, Later, or similar scheduling / analytics platforms.
  • Experience with influencer partnerships, content strategy, and community management.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to travel for events and company meetings.
  • Passion for storytelling, culture, and the craft beer community is a big plus.
