Nokia in Rome, Italy, seeks a SoC/FPGA Engineer to architect, design and verify ASIC framer blocks for coherent optical links. You will work with RTL/VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, using Synopsys/Mentor/Cadence tools to optimize performance and power while collaborating with a global team.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Electronic Engineering or similar, strong RTL and verification skills, and fluency in English. Nokia offers hybrid working schemes and extensive growth opportunities.

Competenze

• Master's degree or PhD in Electronics or related field.
• Strong RTL design and verification experience with high performance, low power.
• Proficiency with VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog and EDA tools (Synopsys, Mentor, Cadence).
• Experience in C/C++ and firmware concepts, plus scripting (Python, TCL).
• Fluent English communication and collaboration in international teams.

Mansioni

• Architect and verify ASIC framer design for coherent transmission.
• Develop and optimize RTL using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Apply UVM verification and ensure high QoR with power optimization.
• Collaborate with synthesis/physical design teams across Nokia sites.
• Provide mentorship and integrate AI into Framer development workflows.
