ITT Inc. in Italy is seeking an AI & Manufacturing Innovation Engineer to lead the study, development, and introduction of advanced robotics and AI within our manufacturing plants, driving the smart factory transition.

The role requires a strong engineering background with ROS, Python and PLC/MES expertise, plus 5–10 years of experience deploying AI in industrial settings. You will define roadmaps, translate prototypes, and collaborate with ITT teams to ensure ROI, safety and scalable

Competenze

Degree in Engineering, such as Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, Computer Science, AI or related fields
PhD or specialized Master’s degree in AI / Robotics preferred
5-10 years of experience in advanced industrial automation, AI / Machine Learning projects applied to manufacturing and robotics — ideally also including automated assistants or mobile robotics

Strategy & Innovation: Define the roadmap for introducing AI and advanced robotics into industrial processes
Technology Implementation: Lead projects related to cobots, AMRs, AI-based vision, ML for maintenance and process optimization
Industrialization: Translate prototypes into scalable production solutions and support adoption
Governance & Capability Building: Build internal AI/robotics capabilities and define standards
