Our client is a leading company specializing in the design and implementation of advanced air pollution control and gas treatment systems for industrial applications. Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Site Manager to join our client’s project execution team. The selected candidate will play a critical role in managing site activities during the installation and commissioning phases of industrial plant projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the main point of contact on-site for installation and commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements and safety standards (80–90% travel per year within Italy and worldwide)
  • Supervise mechanical erection works performed by client-side contractors (when not directly involved in installation) and coordinate the client’s own subcontractors when acting as EPC contractor.
  • Oversee site operations in compliance with safety, quality, and schedule targets.
  • Manage and coordinate site personnel, including subcontractors and technical teams, ensuring correct execution of activities.
  • Support the implementation of electrical and automation systems during commissioning, including cold and hot testing.
  • Ensure that all site activities follow contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical advisory to clients, particularly in the supervision-only projects where the client oversees but does not perform direct installations.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers for claim handling and client interface on commercial aspects.
  • Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports, track milestones, and escalate potential risks or issues.

Requirements

  • Technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
  • Previous experience in site supervision, installation, or commissioning of industrial plants (cement, power, steel, biomass, waste-to-energy, and material handling plants etc.).
  • Knowledge of mechanical assemblies, safety practices, and industrial plant layouts.
  • Hands-on experience in brownfield projects, revamping, or retrofitting is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluency in Italian and good command of English; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work on-site for extended periods.
  • Candidates should be legally eligible to work in Italy, as some projects are based on the Italian territory.

Location: Milan (with 80–90% travel per year within Italy and worldwide)
