Huawei Italy’s Graduate Program offers a 6-month internship to develop the next generation of ICT leaders. You will work alongside industry experts in critical site infrastructure (Power Systems, HVAC, Energy Optimization), remote plant monitoring, and field operations management, transitioning directly into a full-time role upon successful completion.

Fresh graduates or current students in technical fields with fluency in Italian and English are encouraged to apply.

Job Title: Junior Site Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer (Extra-curricular Intern)

Job Location: Milan (Italy)

Contract Type: 6-Month Internship (Path to Full-Time employment)

Compensation: €1,000 gross/month

About The Role & Program

Kickstart your career with Huawei Italy’s Graduate Program. This intensive 6-month internship is designed to develop the next generation of ICT leaders. You will work alongside industry experts, gain hands‑on experience in critical site infrastructure (Power Systems, HVAC, Energy Optimization), remote plant monitoring, and field operations management, transitioning directly into a full‑time role upon successful completion.

• Maintenance Coordination: Assist in supervising preventive and corrective maintenance for critical site infrastructure, including HVAC, precision cooling, UPS, 48V DC power systems, transformer substations, fire suppression, and generators.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide remote technical support to field technicians for power and cooling issues to ensure compliance with strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Site Monitoring & Reliability: Utilize remote plant monitoring systems to track infrastructure performance and proactively identify potential failures before service disruption occurs.
• Subcontractor Supervision & Reporting: Monitor on-site operations by subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical designs, quality standards, and safety regulations, managing incident tracking through to final resolution.

Requirements

• Fresh Graduate or Current Student enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, such as Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. The graduation date should ideally be approximately 6-12 months before or after the internship start date.
• Technical Passion: Strong foundational understanding of power supply systems, thermal/cooling mechanics, and electrical or structural calculations.
• Engineering Tools: Proficiency with technical documentation and standard engineering software.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and high emotional intelligence for international team environments.
• Languages: Fluency in Italian (written and spoken) and professional working proficiency in English.
• Work Authorization: Must hold valid authorization to live and work in Italy.
