Apple is seeking a qualified and motivated silicon validation engineer. You will be part of a team involved in pre- and post-silicon bring-up, debugging, validation, and characterization of analog and mixed-signal Power Management circuits for battery-operated portable devices.

This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in system validation who understands that close collaboration between pre-silicon design and post-silicon validation is crucial for delivering quality products. You will work closely with IC Design, Firmware, and System teams within Apple, supporting the entire process from first silicon to mass production.

Your responsibilities will include defining custom hardware for IC bring-up and testing, developing validation plans, and collaborating with module and system teams to support their design integration and system-level debugging.

  1. Experience in system validation and ASIC design validation
  2. Experience with analog circuit measurement techniques
  3. Proficiency with hardware design tools, schematic entry, and PCB design
  4. Strong debugging skills and hands-on lab experience
  5. Experience with complex test equipment (oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, spectrum/network analyzers)
  6. Good coding skills (Python, C++) and experience in automating laboratory measurements
  7. Knowledge of switching converters and linear regulators (LDO)
  8. Background in silicon validation, failure analysis, and debugging
  9. Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL, FPGA prototyping
  10. Understanding of embedded firmware/software development is a plus
  11. Knowledge of finite state machines, microcontroller architectures, and mixed-signal design is advantageous
  12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit
  14. Ability to work well in diverse teams, take ownership, and motivate others
