Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Signalling Configuration Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will perform a range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy . Accountabilities

• Ensure data collection from scheme plans and other sources using configuration tools.
• Contribute to sub-system configuration delivery, including data collection, preparation, and verification.
• Manage control of input data, configuration documents, and executable files following company processes.
• Execute assigned integration lab tests or parts thereof.
• Identify and correct defects found during validation and site testing.

Required Skills / Knowledge

Good interpersonal skills and relationship management.

Ability to prepare technical specifications and documents.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and basic AutoCAD knowledge.

Willingness to travel within Italy and internationally to railway and metro sites.

Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills across teams.

Preferred) Basic knowledge of electrical and relay circuits.

Preferred) Understanding of software programming logic and relational databases.

Education / Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.

Languages

Good command of English (written and spoken).
