You will support our growth and the delivery of excellent business results. You will be responsible for converting in-depth shopping and retail environment insights into category, retail, and customer strategies and recommendations. Additionally, you will ensure shopping insights are integrated into marketing plans and programs, as well as support the cross-category shopper insights agenda.

How you will contribute

You will:

  1. Be responsible for developing consumer selling stories using the consumer segmentation framework as its data foundation.
  2. Provide guidance to stakeholders on the principles and uses of consumer segmentation to unearth actionable, growth-oriented insights at a retail level.
  3. Curate social intelligence to uncover cultural trends, snacking moments, brand identity, and leverage growth opportunities in the retail environment within your geographic area.
  4. Generate behavior-changing insights and identify effective levers of engagement.
  5. Continuously optimize business through data, tracking, and learning.
  6. Drive action-oriented insights on innovation, communication, and brand growth imperatives to shopper, customer, and net revenue planning teams.

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career with experience and knowledge in:

  1. Experience in using retailer/customer data, shopper insights, and analytics to develop compelling retail customer plans, ideally in the FMCG/CPG industry.
  2. High proficiency in base business tools (Excel/PowerPoint), with expertise in data modeling and visualization tools (experience with Tableau is essential).
  3. In-depth knowledge of analyzing and visualizing large data sets.
  4. Experience presenting to retailer teams and in negotiation and joint business planning.
  5. Strong knowledge of market segmentation models.
  6. A proven track record of influencing and aligning key customers and stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  7. Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, sales, and external agencies.

More about the role:

This role is based at a Pan-European level, reporting to the Sr. Director of the EU Shopper Insight COE. It involves:

  1. Business partnering with the EU Central Sales Capability teams, including eCommerce (60%), World Travel Retail & European Export (15%), Revenue Growth Management (15%), and Perfect Store + International Customer & Buying Alliance teams (10%).
  2. Supporting and coordinating local country shopper insight teams across the EU to build effective learning plans and elevate shopper insight impact.
  3. Co-leading the EU Shopper Insight COE capability agenda to enhance EU shopper capability and align with global ambitions.
  4. Managing relationships with the Global Shopper Excellence COE and leveraging their capabilities to benefit the EU region, as well as sharing EU learnings globally.

The ideal candidate would have experience and competency in:

  1. Deep understanding of digital commerce and its growth potential.
  2. Managing multiple stakeholders across different seniority levels to influence decision-making through insights.
  3. Managing market research plans, including budgets, agencies, and methodologies.
  4. Knowledge of market research methodologies related to shopper insights and analytics.
  5. Leading insight agendas from understanding business needs to driving impact on decisions.

Fluency in spoken and written English is essential for this role.
