About This Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shift Manager to join Crown's beverage-can manufacturing team in Parma, Italy.
The Shift Manager is responsible for team leadership, ensuring optimal allocation of tasks and achievement of targets resulting in the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of our manufacturing process.

Your mission in Crown
Responsibilities include the day to day management of the shift employees, with a specific focus on production, as well as leading and developing them in accordance with the EHS and HR policies and procedures.
A safety-first approach is essential and previous experience of operating with a continuous improvement approach to the resolution of challenges would be advantageous.
Attention to detail with regards to quality of product is critical and this focus must be followed through with your shift teams.
This role is based in a unique fast-paced environment and in order to succeed you will need to be passionate about your work, have a self-motivated approach to all tasks and possess excellent and proven people-management skills.
This is a pivotal role in the plant and as such, you will require outstanding communication skills as you will be expected to manage communications and feedback to employees and managers alike.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading, developing and managing teams

Required Skills And Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both Italian and English
  • MS office skills, SAP experience is advantageous
  • Able to operate well under pressure
  • Good organisational skills and able to prioritise effectively
  • Demonstrable leadership and motivational skills
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
  • A drive for continuous improvement
