Role Summary :

We have an exciting opportunity for a Servo Motor Product Support & Application Engineer to join Nidec Drives.

This role involves supporting our Control Techniques Dynamics portfolio through strategic and hands-on activities, ensuring commercial, technical, and customer support to maximize opportunities.

The engineer will support regional drive centers and manage commercial products, playing a key role in customer acquisition, retention, and experience enhancement.

This position bridges product management, engineering, and regional support to deliver application expertise, resolve challenges, and promote product adoption.

Key Job Responsibilities :

The responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Managing commercial product support
• Handling quotations and proposals
• Supporting segments and regions
• Coordinating bids
• Analyzing margins and profitability
• Managing orders and fulfillment
• Forecasting and pipeline support
• Providing application engineering and technical support
• Enabling commercial support and training
• Integrating product feedback into lifecycle management
• Collaborating cross-functionally
• Monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement
• Building customer relationships and advocacy

Travel Requirements :

Minimum 25% travel, potentially more, including overnight stays and out-of-hours meetings.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Degree/Bachelor/Master in a technical or automation-related field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in Servo Motor Product Management
• Track record in business development within servo motors, gear, and motion control
• Knowledge of automation markets and applications
• Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building
• Technical aptitude and financial acumen
• Leadership skills managing cross-functional teams and projects

Employees must be able to :

• Understand emergency instructions
• Read safety signage and hazard warnings
• Communicate effectively in emergency situations (e.g., fire evacuation)
