Role Summary :

We are excited to offer a position for a Servo Motor Product Support & Application Engineer at Nidec Drives.

This role involves managing both strategic and hands-on aspects of our Control Techniques Dynamics portfolio, providing commercial, technical, and customer-facing support to maximize opportunities.

The engineer will support regional drive centers and segments, ensuring effective support for commercial activities, customer acquisition, retention, and experience.

This position is key to bridging product management, engineering, and regional teams to deliver application expertise, resolve challenges, and promote product adoption.

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Manage commercial product support
• Handle quotations and proposals
• Support segments and regions
• Coordinate bids
• Analyze margins and profitability
• Manage orders and fulfillment
• Support forecasting and pipeline management
• Provide application engineering and technical support
• Enable commercial training
• Integrate feedback into product lifecycle
• Collaborate across functions
• Monitor performance and pursue continuous improvement
• Build customer relationships and advocacy

Travel Requirements :

A minimum of 25% travel, possibly more, including overnight stays and out-of-hours meetings.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Degree/Bachelor/Master in a technical or automation-related field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in Servo Motor Product Management
• Track record in business development in servo motors, gear, and motion control
• Market and application knowledge in automation
• Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building
• Technical aptitude and financial understanding
• Leadership skills for managing teams and projects

• Understand emergency instructions
• Read safety signage and hazard warnings
• Communicate effectively in emergency situations
