Role Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Servo Motor Product Support & Application Engineer to join Nidec Drives.

This role involves supporting our Control Techniques Dynamics portfolio, ensuring commercial, technical, and customer-facing support for every opportunity.

The engineer will support regional drive centres and manage commercial activities to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and experience. This role bridges product management, engineering, and regional support to deliver application expertise and drive product adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial product support and proposals
• Support segments and regions
• Coordinate bids
• Analyze margins and profitability
• Manage orders and fulfillment
• Support forecasting and pipeline development
• Provide application engineering and technical support
• Enable commercial training
• Integrate product feedback and lifecycle management
• Collaborate cross-functionally
• Monitor performance and pursue continuous improvement
• Build customer relationships and advocate for their needs

Travel Requirements:

Minimum 25% travel, possibly more, including overnight stays and out-of-hours meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical discipline or equivalent in automation
• Proven experience in Servo Motor Product Management
• Track record in business development within Servo Motors, Gear, and Motion Control
• Market and application knowledge in automation
• Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building
• Technical aptitude and financial understanding
• Leadership skills managing cross-functional teams and projects

Employees must be able to:

• Understand emergency instructions
• Read safety signage and hazard warnings
• Communicate effectively in emergency situations (e.g., fire evacuation)
